United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps
The Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) is for American youth ages 13 - 18 who have a desire to learn about the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine. The objectives of the Sea Cadet program are to introduce youth to naval life, to develop in them a sense of pride, patriotism, courage, and self-reliance, and to maintain an environment free of drugs and gangs. LaGrange High School NJROTC
The NJROTC program is conducted at accredited secondary schools throughout the nation, by instructors who are retired Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard officers and enlisted personnel. The NJROTC curriculum emphasizes citizenship and leadership development, as well as our maritime heritage, the significance of sea power, and naval topics. Classroom instruction is augmented throughoutthe year by community service activities, drill competition, field meets, visits to naval activities, and other military training.
